Conversion Methodology
ConverterBase uses stable unit definitions and fixed conventional factors. The calculators are generated from one reviewed unit table so each page, chart, search result, and alternate-unit answer uses the same math.
Sources
Primary references are NIST SI units, NIST U.S. customary-to-metric relationships, and the BIPM SI overview. Category pages link to the reference used for that family of units.

Exactness and rounding
Internal calculations keep more precision than the displayed result. Displayed numbers are shortened for readability, and formulas show the practical relationship used by the calculator.
What is excluded
ConverterBase avoids exchange rates, energy prices, and other values that require manual freshness claims. If a calculator needs live data, it is not included as a static conversion page.
